My intention was only to flirt with him, never in my wildest thoughts would I pretended for this to go any further than what it was.

Spring break had arrived, all my girlfriends had gone home or to their nearest beach to soak some sun and get some color on their pale skins.

Unfortunately my pocket has a big hole, so funds were very hard to come by, which gave me the perfect excuse to go back home.

Usually, a nineteen-year woman like myself would look for reasons to stay away from their home, feeling crowded with family asking about your personal life, college activities, questions about the future, what major was I considering, and other fun-filled questions.

Even if it was true, the reason I wanted to go back was for Ron.

Little over a year ago, my mother decided to remarry to someone that was financially independent and could take care of her needs, which meant expensive nights out on the town. He wasn’t rich, you could say he’s well-off.

Money was a big issue for me, but what has me drawn to him wasn’t his bank account, it was more than that.

A few months after meeting him, my mother took a chance and allowed for his belongings to be brought to the house.

He had his own home, but it’s located in another state, and they decided to wait a bit longer before moving away, mainly because I was still in college and didn’t want to leave me behind.
